All Hallow's E'en ... and what not.

Kevin's really getting good with his videos hey?   The kids always have fun at this time of year - Ewan went to a birthday party on Saturday - Harry Potter themed and then in the evening, Faye had her friend Katy over to sleep and they went to the Long Stratton Spooks and Sparks in the Park event, held down the road.  I don't think it was particularly great and overpriced (from what Kevin and Hayzel said) but the kids enjoyed themselves  - but how can they not sell candy floss!!!  what?  I was disappointed they didn't bring me back any spookasem.   I was working, so couldn't go with.

Some pics of the kids from this weekend:

Faye in some clothes she chose for herself on Saturday ... getting so grown-up!   Ewan as Potter ...  so cute he is.

Faye and her friend Katy - all dressed up for Halloween.

Pumpkin time!    ..

Happy Halloween 2016

Happy Halloween, watch out for ghosties and ghoulies.

Happy Halloween - 2016

Rhymes doesn't it?

The veil between the living and the dead is weakening in the run up to Halloween 2016, so it seems.

Have a look at this video and what I spotted on the side of the road on Thursday this week.

See what my dash-cam picked up...

Please share with all your online friends if you are amazed at the video footage as I was when I reviewed it later that evening.

T Wood - October 2016

Took kids to Tyrells Wood again this afternoon, after we had a fish and chip lunch (my treat, after they'd been so good at the hospital while I had my tests).       We had to go by the other entrance to the woods today as the usual parking was FULL to the brink - not a spot to be had.   'Cos of school holidays, I suppose ... everyone had the same idea.

Out and about

I've tried ten times to upload this little video - don't know if it's there yet.

Tomorrow there is a 'celebration assembly' at his school, whatever that is.  Then on Thursday he goes on a school outing to the Time and Tide museum in Gt. Yarmouth, he has to dress up as a World War II 'evacuee' child, so I got him this costume:

Dunstan Common

... and a bit of Dunstan Wood...

This is an enhanced image - I should have used flash .. the 'birds' are actually carvings attached to the tree, some are carved out of the actual tree.

Dunston Common has a large open area of grassland to the east and an area of semi-mature woodland to the west. There is a good selection of veteran and mature trees. Current management involves birch and sycamore thinning and replanting with hazel, holly, rowan and oak. The grassland vegetation contains harebell, ladies bedstraw and sheep's sorrel.

Tasburgh Village Hall Art Exhibition - Weekend of 15 and 16 October

I exhibited art this weekend at the Tasburgh Village Hall Art Exhibition - along with 23 other artists from surrounding areas.  The standard of work was very high and I was thrilled that they gave me such a prominent position - I sent 5 paintings.  More updates on this post, if I sell anything :)

My paintings are behind the group of people in the photo below

These are the ones I was exhibiting - five in total (including the large abstract on the left) s0rry photo is blurry.
