Short miscellaneous videos and announcement
I am going to try and upload miscellaneous videos taken over the past few years that I have had stored on my laptop, I will then delete the source clips. I have over 80gigs of images relating to family stored on both my laptops and it is getting ridiculous. I have tried burning a lot of photos to dvd to keep for posterity, as i doubt they will ever get printed out. However, the videos needed to be clumped together and saved somewhere other than the laptops, so that's why i've decided to try and put them on here. They are not professionally edited videos, they are mainly all clips that were taken with cellphones but it's important to keep them, as they show how our life has panned out since we arrived here in December 2012.
I have also decided not to post anymore things on this blog after the end of thi year. I will start up a new blog (on Wordpress), which I hope will be better focused and organised.
This one is from POPLAR BARNS 2018 (includes Snow and Daniel/William)

The Great Covid-19 Moanfest
It seemed appropriate that I should write something about this awful pandemic that has gripped the world since the beginning of this year. We are now in the second lockdown, which is supposed to be ending on the 2nd December, the day before Andrew's 39th birthday. We could not socialise with Dave when it was his birthday in November but I did manage a cuddle when he came round to collect his present. And stuff off Boris! We are still subject to the 'rule of six' although there are rumours that the government will allow more leniency with regards family/social gatherings for the Christmas period. I'm not overly optimistic. It is hard for all of us.
Luckily, at least, we were able to see Lara for her birthday in October and have a little party. I don't know when we are going to be able to see her again, hopefully we will be able to get to see her and Baz over Christmas, I got her the most gorgeous dolly!
Allyson has been in hospital in Mundesley since August, when she was made homeless by the cretin she was renting from at the time. We have been to see her a couple of times but with lockdown we are again forced to stay away. I posted presents to her for her birthday and she was appreciatvie of that. I hope that we can get to take her presents for Christmas, although she is not at all well right now and doesn't really want to speak to anyone on the phone or see anyone in person. I have tried to contact her doctors this week but didn't manage to get through to anyone with a brain. It is hard for most people but really difficult for a person who has a mental disability, why did this happen to her? I wish I could wave a wand and make it all go away. This horrible condition - I won't call it an illness because that implies you can get better from it - has robbed her of a productive, happy and positive life.
I'm used to working from home, it's nothing new to me - although I haven't had any work at all since February. I'm just a bit annoyed with myself for selling my car, even though I couldn't afford to keep it anymore and perhaps got rid of it at the right time, I feel so trapped right now. The only time I actually get out of the house is to do grocery shopping once a week with Hayzel, I suppose I should be thankful for that at any rate. But sometimes I get so frustrated, I just want to run out of the house up the road and into a field ... I hope that we will be able to spend some time with our loved ones over Christmas, even if it's just a short visit for a drinkie and a mince pie.

My trip to Wales - August 2020
Here is a little video of the photos and videos I took of my recent trip to visit Jean in Knighton. I took her to the Red Kit feeding centre before we went on our trip to Criccieth (on the North Wales coast). We stayed in Criccieth at the Caerwylan Hotel right on the seafront - we arrived on the Tuesday afternoon right in the middle of a cyclone - with winds up to 75mph, I thought we were going to end up in the sea! The weather cleared the next day but it was overcast and rainy again on Thursday. We came back to Knighton on Friday morning and I went back to Norwich early on Saturday morning (it was a 4 hour drive back this time - made good time). It was lovely, I really enjoyed this mini-break. Did about 785 miles altogether in a lovely new Ford Fiesta (rental through Enterprise) - it was a great little car and very economical and comfy. Anyway, here's the video that's been loaded to YouTube.

Lara selection of videos and photos
I stitched together some of the images and videos that I had from my phone ... this is the result:
Lara
We've been lucky to have princess for many visits this year - most of them for a couple of nights in a row. These are some photos from this weekend's visit.
The mark on her face is from Faye's make-up (as you do) ... this is a dress-up outfit I made her, bit long but will be great for when it gets a bit chillier (too hot these days - yeah, 36 degrees who knew)
We've been lucky to have princess visit us many times this year. these are some photos and videos from this weekend ...
Ewan's primary school drive-thru graduation. 11th birthday and modelling High School clothes
This year has been super-weird for all of us - not least for the kids at school. Ewan and Faye were home schooling - Ewan ended up going two days a week and Faye once a week. Ridiculous times. Ewan didn't have the standard school leaving party, this time it was a drive-thru event, which ended up being quite emotional.

stuff
Haven't posted on here in yonks.. Not like nothings happening, on the contrary its hard to keep up. So much of our news, videos and photos are on WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram.. Blogger is kinda getting left behind and the main reason for that is it is not mobile friendly. I'm toying with the idea of moving this to WordPress...
