Christmas is just around the corner and nothing like the children's Christmas plays to get you in the mood.
Both the kids plays were great this year. Unfortunately Ewan and Faye didn't have big roles but it was still fun to see...
Since Ewan didn't have much to do in his play above are all the snippets of him (he's the pig to the left behind the sheepses, you can just see his ears and nose sticking out) and below is the full play.
Faye's school play was a lot better than last years and more traditional (no Micheal Jackson's or break dancing shepherds), so enjoy it below.
It was very quiet today ... mainly because there are just too many of these craft fairs being held in the same town over this weekend but we did manage to sell a few items. We had very good feedback on the things that we were selling and I had some positive comments on my art. Here are a few pictures and a little video (sorry taken with the cellphone).
My assistant .. making signs for our stall.
Faye was also roped in by Reverend Heather to make the signs for the street board, advertising the craft fair outside the Church. I might have also been lassoo-ed into joining Lions ... more on that later!
Wow 33 today! I am so proud of you and all that you have done so far in your life - you are a successful man, caring husband and great father - what more could a mother want? We hope you have an awesome day today and wish we could spend it with you but we'll have to make do with a SKYPE call later on. Lots and lots of love from Hayzel, Kevin, Faye, Ewan and of course, me ... xxxx
On Friday, 30/11, two envelopes arrived. One for Faye and another for Ewan with North Pole post mark!
Who could have sent them the letters?
Kids were very excited when they opened their letter to see they were from Father Christmas.
Here is what they said (click on for larger size)...
Ewan was so happy that he got a letter from Santa.
Faye, read the letter, sat quietly for a minute and then started crying. She was so overwhelmed by her own letter from Santa. I wish I had my video camera ready.
I've been making some more things for (hopefully) selling at the Long Stratton church fair on the 6th December. The most successful thing in our house at the moment is the alice bands - I make one, Faye takes it. I make another, Faye takes that. So I'm now having to hide them!
Some of the finished Alice bands ... I have just done the Christmas holly leaves & berry one ... think that's quite nice.
Paper bead jewellery
Glittery snowflakes
You can't really make any money from crafting but it was fun to try my hand at all these various things and learn a few new techniques in the process.
