The daffodils are a delight this year, I wish I could take photos of every bunch that I see on the side of the road! There are thousands and I see that the rape seed is also beginning to flower in the fields alongside the road going towards Diss. Many trees are also budding, so spring is on the way.
Today we are having really BIG Norfolk winds. I took the car in for it's second attempt at the MOT this morning and walking back with Ewan, we got pushed down the road by the wind. We have to go back later on to collect it, not looking forward to walking around in this gale. At least it's not raining and the sky is a lovely blue.
Faye is on Brownie camp and I have to go and fetch her on Thursday, so I hope the car road tax and MOT is sorted out by then - the stupid people at DVLA haven't sent my road tax renewal letter to this house, even though I notified them in June last year of my change of address. Anyway, I sent another letter to them yesterday, so maybe it will get sorted out, who knows.
I've got my seasick tablets! And sorted out where to catch the bus at Norfolk bus station on the 18th April, so I'm basically all set now.
I bought Ewan a mini-skateboard yesterday, he's battling a bit to get 'into it' ... but I'm sure he'll figure it out one of these days.
'Scuse the video - this is the second attempt, the first one crashed my laptop, so I got this one done quick as I could and soundtrack cuts off a bit rough at the end ... oh well, I don't get paid George Lucas rates.

And here's the winning writer with her certificate and Parker Pen prize, she looks so happy she could burst!
Very well done, Faye!

What a boykie!
David has been doing really well in the cricket again - his Easterns Club cricket team came top of the Gauteng club championships this past weekend. Dave's stats at the moment are (best) 5 for 16 - brilliant. Here's a picture he sent today of the team from this weekend's game. He's the handsome chap fourth from the left.

Faye has had tonsilitis - she was off the whole of last week but thanks to the antibiotics seems to be okay and well enough to go back to school this morning - cross fingers hey? Ewan had a runny nose on Friday but he seems okay also today. He had to make something out of a vegetable - it had to be one or more characters from his favourite story book last week - for World Book Day - so he chose Aliens in Underpants and we had a lot of fun making that - he didn't win but all the kids in his class were impressed and his teacher said , 'Wowzer!' when I handed it to her.
It's been warming up, then freezing. Weird weather at the moment. We have lovely blue skies and sun in the mornings and a lot of new daffodil bulbs are starting to shoot up all over the place. It's so pretty seeing pockets of snowdrops in the thickets as you drive along the road, or little bunches of purple and yellow crocuses. These snowdrops are at Hethersett Hall where Ally has been working - she finishes there this week and Hayzel also finishes her job this week - I think it's going to be rather emotional for Hayzel because the people at Anglian are really making a big fuss that she's leaving!
I'm off to the hospital again today - for ultra-sound scan on my shoulder and {hopefully} a cortizone injection. Hayzel permed and tinted my hair this weekend - light brown - not sure about it yet but at least it's a change.
Hope everyone has a nice week ahead.
