Yep, November is a hectic month in this part of the world. Dave and Ally had us round for drinkies on Sunday to celebrate their birthdays ...

Long overdue update
Well, right to it then.
David and Mags
Yep, things are on the go! Their house is on the market. Dave arrives here on the 4th May and starts work on the 7th (I think) ... can't quite believe it. Mags will hang about a bit in SA to finalise the selling of their house, which hopefully goes through quickly. More updates as and when things happen.
Andrew and Leigh
Have found a bigger house, also in Long Stratton but on the other side of the A140 and move in on the day that Dave arrives from the UK! Yikes. Going to be hectic couple of weeks, but great news that Andrew and Leigh have found a lovely home, with more space for their boys and them.
School holidays
Are in full swing - not that I've had much of a holiday yet but it's nice to be able to lie in for a bit in the mornings. I've eventually managed to get a referral for my eyes to see the Opthalmologist - in June - so relieved about that.
Allyson
Has managed (with Andrew's help) to secure a house share rental and she moves in this coming Sunday. Really pleased for her and hope it's a pleasant place to live - we can visit at least, which is the first time in a long time. She has also applied for a job and is trying every day to get her life back on track. We have made appointment for her to see the dentist at the beginning of May, so hopefully she will get her front teeth sorted out. She's such a lovely looking young woman, it's a pity that her teeth have fallen into disrepair.
Took some photos
It's a lovely blue and sunny day today, although the wind is still a bit on the chilly side. Just to show the gorgeous daffodils that are growing in the middle of our estate and the rape seed field across the way behind our house.
A boy with our daft dog.
A bishy barnaby (ladybird) that sat still patiently waiting for me to focus.
The walk back to our house (the light coloured house on the right) - I even managed to climb back over the ditch on our plank ...

Bit of an update.
So it's almost the middle of October! This year has flown past and soon Christmas will be upon us ... can't wait, my favourite time of the year!
Thank you all for my lovely birthday presents and wishes - I had such a great day, it was so special. Allyson is currently in Tenerife with her partner, Baz and his son, Matt (who had his birthday recently too).
I am exhibiting some paintings this coming weekend at Tasburgh Village Hall Art Exhibition, I'm quite proud of being able to organise that and hope that I get some exposure and possibly even sell something, that would be a bonus!
I've taken some photos from the Whatsapp group to put here again - just by way of archiving things.
So excuse all the photos.
Firstly, Dave's house renovation progress:

Dave and Mags at the Lost World ...
Ewan designing his Power Rangers outfit out of paper the other day.
The state of the envelope I sent to Andrew and Leigh - it contained a sticker book for Daniel and house warming card - but the SA post office dudes seemed to have got stuck into it good and proper, disgusting.
Allyson - all toffed up for a day at the races in Newmarket last weekend - lucky thing. Hayzel did her hair.
In the limousine with the rest of the revellers ...
David and the boys winning LMS tournament ... well done dude, you're so awesome, wish I could have been there to celebrate!
Andrew is riding his bike all over KZN and completed a 24km pedal session last weekend - brilliant going, keep it up!
Allyson is now in Tenerife - that's the little pin prick down there in the red circle, for them what don't know.

Smooth tourists ...
More shots of Tenerife and the night lights.
