Happy Birthday Faye!

Our day started at about 6am  ... :) ... with a very excited 8 year old desperately clamping at the bit to open her presents.   She got some lovely things and has told me to say a big thank you here on the blog but she will be writing everyone thank you letters during the course of next week.

After breakfast and blowing out the birthday candles on her lovely Chocolate Fudge cake that she made with Ewan and Mummy last night, we went off to Great Yarmouth to Sea Life.

So here we go again with some photos ...
Birthday badges - check, new birthday clothes - check, birthday grin - check

upside down jellyfish - really

Flipper and friend

Yes that is Medusa in the background ... coowal

Superman didn't stay still much today, so he's a bit blurry in most of the photos.

I digged this exhibit ...they had put dry ice near the water, so the mist it created swirled about over the surface of the water all the time, so cool playing with it
While we were waiting in the queue to meet the Octonaut, the 'Pirate' discovered that it was Faye's birthday and had everyone in the queue sing Happy Birthday to her ... so cute.
Height of Ewan's weekend giving one of the Octonauts a hug - he also gave him a kiss.

Not really scary ... they are after all in tanks ... but our Ewan actually STROKED a crab at the little indoor pond and got himself a medal to prove it!

Sis wasn't so happy about having a photo taken with the Spider Crabs!

Our souvenir photo taken by the crew at Sea Life

Following pics taken with my 'broken' Fuji ... that seems to be working off and on.  I don't like taking the Nikon onto the beach, in case I get sand in it.

Having birthday lunch

just get these socks off, then I'm off on that there sand

Ouch ... ouch ... Mummy please pick me up

Nothing like the sea, a birthday and being 8 years old to brighten up a day, hey?

Don't do it ethel!    --- that's the bleddy North Sea dammit ... that stuff's COLD

Told em

I'm coming back in my swimming clothes in a couple of weeks, then I'll show you, sea.

Two local bathers.

Leaving Yarmouth

Going over the River Yare

Birthday's are tiring things

PS
It was also Mother's Day in South Africa today and I got some lovely things from David, Andrew, Ally, Mags, Leigh ... thank you guys so much, it was lovely and I wasn't expecting it at all.    Love you all very much and of course, miss you like crazy.
