Tyrell's Wood

The kids go back to school tomorrrow and I think they were both suffering from a bit of cabin fever this morning, so we took a short drive out to Tyrells Wood - always a good place to get rid of some pent up energy.  We ended up scaling embankments and ditches to get into the wood on the other side, which started out promising - there was a little pond at the place where we went in - but it soon turned out to be the same as Tyrell's but with no paths.  We did see bluebells today - only a few at the place where we made our escape from the main wood.   I saw one squirrel hot foot it up a tree but not much else in the way of wild life today. It was very quiet in the wood too, so surprising that we didn't see any more animals.

  2. Not really ... but it was a mission going down and up the ditches, so that you didn't fall on yer backside!
